About Me.

I am Megumi Thayer, the wife of my wonderful husband Eddy, and a mother of three children. My days are packed with work, parenting, and writing.

I started this blog to encourage people facing difficulties. I have had my fair share of problems and failures, but through it all, God has been my constant companion.

I'm not immune to marital arguments or parenting challenges. Sometimes I struggle with finance and get frustrated. Despite the ugly moments, God never abandons me. He always holds me close and whispers, "Come with me."

I believe that the lessons I have learned through my own struggles can be a source of encouragement and inspiration to others. Although writing a book and starting a blog were unexpected, I felt called to share my experiences and encourage others.

I love God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They walk with me, love me, and provide me with wisdom. My hope is that every word I write will reflect God's gentle voice and bring life and joy to those who read it.

I love God - the Father who walks with me, Jesus who loves me, and the Holy Spirit who is my wisdom - are the best. May this God speak gently to you through each word I write. May He give you life and may your joy spring forth.

How I got here.

2010

Started missions

Started missions in Southeast Asia with a project to deliver stationery from Japan to orphanages abroad.

2013-2019

Ran a non-profit

organization

She established a non-profit organization in Okinawa, Japan and worked for six years in Southeast Asia for missions and to support children and impoverished communities. She also set up an office in the Philippines, where she offers child sponsorship, educational assistance, and feeding programs. Additionally, in Japan, she provides childrise support for mothers, earthquake relief, and delivers numerous speeches and sermons.

2019

Joined Catch The Fire

Japan

She began serving the ministries in Japan and Asia with Catch The Fire Japan since its inception.

2023

Started small business & missions

Began missions with Catch The Fire Japan, leading missions in 18 different locations in Japan with FFTC, and also began overseas mission trips. In addition, she also started her own small business, including a real estate leasing business.
